A 2-Rider Lineup and New SRK800RR Developments Signal a Stronger Season Ahead
Date: 2025-03-25
Event: QJMOTOR – WSSP Championship Round 2, Portimão, Portugal
The 2025 World Supersport (WSSP) Championship is heating up, and QJMOTOR is back on the grid for Round 2 — this time stronger, faster, and more determined than ever. The team arrives in Portimão, Portugal with high hopes and a revamped strategy after an intense winter of development and testing.

A New Season, A Fresh Opportunity
After a promising debut season in 2024, QJMOTOR Factory Racing is taking bold strides in 2025 with an upgraded race machine and an expanded rider lineup. The team now features Italian veteran Raffaele De Rosa and Finnish standout Niki Tuuli, both ready to tackle the technical and fast layout of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
With the SRK 800 RR receiving substantial off-season improvements, and a completely new version already in development for a mid-season debut, expectations are rising. Round 2 of the WSSP Championship runs from March 28 to 30, where QJMOTOR will test both its hardware and team synergy against some of the toughest competitors in the field.

Rider Line-Up: Experience Meets Determination
Raffaele De Rosa
Having piloted the SRK 800 RR through its initial WorldSSP campaign in 2024, De Rosa brings continuity, leadership, and invaluable feedback for the development team. His experience in WSSP and WSBK racing is a crucial asset as QJMOTOR continues to refine its chassis, electronics, and aerodynamics packages.
“It’s always great to tackle the first round of the year, and it’s fantastic to do so at Portimão, a track that all the riders really enjoy. We’ll be using an SRK 800 RR that is significantly better than what we had last year, and we’ll try to harness its full potential to achieve the best possible result.”

Niki Tuuli
Joining the factory effort for 2025, Finnish rider Niki Tuuli brings aggression, talent, and strong knowledge of the class. After positive results in earlier WSSP seasons, Tuuli is ready to mesh with the QJMOTOR team and push the development envelope.
“I’m excited to be able to start my 2025 season with the QJMOTOR Factory Racing Team. It’s all new for me, but during testing I had a great feeling with the team’s technicians and with the bike, and so I can’t wait to race at Portimão!”
SRK800RR: A Race Machine in Evolution
In June, QJMOTOR will debut a new version of the SRK 800 RR, which is currently undergoing advanced testing phases. Early development has been conducted at circuits in China, with the prototype also taking part in private tests at Jerez, guided by De Rosa.
At Portimão, the team will continue to develop the current SRK 800 RR, which already features enhanced suspension geometry, refined electronics, and improved handling characteristics over last year’s model. The goal? Breaking into the points zone — a goal that slipped just out of reach in 2024 but now seems more attainable than ever.
Why Portimão Matters
The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is one of the most challenging and beloved circuits on the WSBK calendar. Inaugurated in 2008, the venue spans a 300-hectare complex including a karting track, tech park, luxury hotel, and sports complex. With its undulating elevation, blind corners, and sweeping turns, the 4.692 km track is a true test of machine and rider.
This makes Portimão a vital proving ground for QJMOTOR’s 2025 ambitions.
